Bloom for the iTouch

So the other day I downloaded this cool new app for the itouch. It was developed in part by Brian Eno and as the website states, it's "part instrument, part composition and part artwork, Bloom’s innovative controls allow anyone to create elaborate patterns and unique melodies by simply tapping the screen. A generative music player takes over when Bloom is left idle, creating an infinite selection of compositions and their accompanying visualisations." It's pretty cool and easy enough to create some minimalistic ambient melodies. Check it out if you have $3.99 to spare.

New Music More Akin to My Normal Stuff
This one is from the group Athlete. Came across it this week even though it's over a year old. I had a couple of even older songs I used to run through in my playlists. This one is a good add. A bit mellow, but... I tend to like mellow. I WILL say that the longer you spend on ITunes, the more stuff you find... and probably consequently the more money you spend. Again, the video isn't anything more than the streaming song. Hope you like it...
New Music... The Script
Just downloaded a couple new songs from The Script this week. Sort of one part Maroon 5 and another part Jason Mraz. Funny thing is that it's not anywhere near electronic, so... I guess I'm branching out. This song is my favorite from the new cd. There isn't a real video to link to, so I'm posting this to stream the song. Enjoy...

GDEB - Video
For those who are too lazy to go through the links I provided below, here is a video for "Lost in the Zoo"...
Yet another... Goddamn Electric Bill
No, I'm not complaining about my finances... It's another electronica artist I'm enjoying at the moment. I'm providing a link to their audio section. On their "Topics For Gossip" cd, check out "Ten Thousands Years". On the "Swallowed by the Machines" cd, check out "Lost in the Zoo" and "Witching Hour". You can also download some of their songs (including a remix of "Lost in the Zoo") from their download page. See what you think...

Another New Artist - Port Blue
So I recently ran across this artist the other day. He has two cds out now and another one out sometime before the holidays. This song isn't on the cds, so I'm assuming it'll be on the forthcoming release. Really nice sounds... check it out...

Trip to Beijing - 2008
Alright, so it's been like forever since I updated this. I've been on the road quite a bit over the past several months and wanted to post these pics from Beijing. In particular, I had the chance to scale the Great Wall of China on a day that provided some pretty spectacular views of the wall creeping out of the fog. It was a great trip although, rather short. And the pics of the hotel room show how much we lived like kings if but for just one day... ;-) Enjoy.

The Golden Rule Foundation Charity Event
This past weekend, Seema and I attended a charity event that her company is heavily involved in. We went with another co-worker and her husband and had a really great time. It was held in a private 11,000 sq.ft. residence at Lake Nona here in Orlando. While we didn't win any of the auctioned items, it was great to take part in the event and find ourselves an opportunity to get all dressed up and feel like prom once again.

The '95 Saturn SL (soon to be Tana's?)
Here is the Saturn. This baby has been healthy for like forever. Which means it runs well and will probably continue to take up space in the driveway. So... We're letting our niece take a look and decide if she wants it or not. Granted it doesn't have a great stereo by any means (the speakers have got to be replaced and there is only a tape deck - i.e. no cd). But other than that, it's still in really good shape for being over 13 years old. But... I know how important first cars can be, so we're letting her decide if she wants it or not... We'll keep you posted on whether she takes it. If she does, I'll probably be roadtripping to MN for the big hand-off and then flying back to Orlando. Keep your fingers crossed for more driveway space!
The New Car...
So, yeah... this is new car. We're pretty excited about it. Of course, my favorite thing is the ipod connector which allows us to simply connect the ipod and hide it while still seeing the songs, playlists, etc on the screen and selecting through it with the steering wheel controls. It's also keyless, which means Seema and I have seperate keyfobs which remember seat settings, etc. It's also nice to have a sunroof back (from the Acura days). It's got a lot of power which I have to keep reminding Seema to utilize every once in awhile... All in all, we'll probably be babying it for quite some time...

First Post
So this is the first post... Not much posted initially, other than some live links to ITunes and my latest purchases. I'll be sure to update more in a short bit with images of our new car purchase and maybe other tidbits of news... Stay tuned.
